He has studied Wushu for more than 25 years in both the United States and China, and has been a gold medalist at numerous national and international competitions. Sept 9th New Classes and Open House The CWRI/Tai Chi Arts Association will offer new classes at the Boston location starting in September. There will be an Open House on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 11 AM to 2 PM. The school is located at 130 Lincoln St., near South Station. |

This is a weeklong outdoor film series that drew appreciative crowds last year. The CWRI team is slated to perform September 8 at 7 PM. |

2007-08-02 Donnie Yen New Movie Flashpoint Opens in Asia Master Mark's son Donnie Yen has a new movie opening in Asia on August 2. FLASHPOINT reunites Yen with director Wilson Yip, following on their previous collaborations SHA PO LANG (KILLZONE) and DRAGON TIGER GATE. Yen is credited as action director and stars in the gritty contemporary action flick. |

New Advanced Sword and Tong Bei Class on Sundays On Sunday, May 6, David Kessler will begin teaching an intensive class in either advanced sword or tong bei (long-armed ape) boxing. The classes will be held every other Sunday from 11 AM to 1 PM. Contact the Boston school for more information. |

2007-04-28 Sat World Tai Chi Day World Tai Chi Day this year is on Saturday, April 28. For those who wish to celebrate in Boston, meet at the Bow Sim Mark Tai Chi Arts Association school at 130 Lincoln St. at 9:15 AM. The group will then walk over to the Boston Common to practice from 10-11 AM. If it rains, the practice will be held at the school. An alternative, especially for anyone in the MetroWest area, is to join Bob Goodman's celebration in Sutton MA. See his website for details. |

CRWI 30th Anniversary Celebration 2006 marks the 30th Anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Wushu Research Institute in the United States by Master Bow Sim Mark. Classmates and friends joined Sifu and family on a all weekend celebration of this wonderful event. |

Cambridge River Festival Sifu Mark and students will be performing at the Cambridge River Festival at 1pm. The performance will be about 45 minutes long. This will be a chance to watch Sifu and her student performing different wushu arts out doors. There will be a short workshop on Tai Chi as well. Please come join us. Hong Kong Chin Woo Anniversary
Sifu Mark was invited back to Hong Kong to perform in the Hong Kong Chin Woo Athletic Association's 80 years Anniversary Show. On Saturday for the anniversary show, Sifu performed ribbon and sword. Her student Nick Gracian and Nick's daughter Mallory performed Long Boxing and Praying Mantis. It was a great performance and the crowd was very impressed.

The next evening there is a Chin Woo Celebration Banquet, and
sifu was invited to perform once more. Her Wudang Sword again brought
down the house. Sifu was also very happy to meet some old friends she hadn't seen for many years. She recalled that she had performed at Chin Woo's 50th Anniversary --- 30 years ago! After coming back to Boston sifu muse that she will again perform during the 100th year anniversary. |
